The Burneo Announcement

Finally mommy decided to tell the Burneo side of the family that I was on my way!! 🙂

Mom had prepared a whole suite of little gifts made with Kinder Surprise eggs, that she bought at Ezeiza (the airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina) on her way back from Rosario with dad.

This is the Kinder surprise for Dad:

Tio renzo got very emotional. Dad calls him “padrino”, since he’s the godfather of my cousin Brittany. He doesn’t know yet that dad will ask him to be my padrino too 🙂

And this is padrino Renzo fused in a biiiiiiig hug with mommy and cousins Veronika and Ian:

Feeling Ginger

Ginger Ale, mom’s favorite ally for morning (and all-day) sickness…

Ginger Ale

Fortunately, it seems that the medicine Doctor Romero gave mom is working! Sunday and Monday were difficult days, but we’re at day two now without major complications! Mom feels happier and she’s smiling again after so many days feeling sick!! 🙂

Cramps And Cravings

Mom is still not feeling well.

Last night she had egg cravings, so she had two scrambled eggs, lightly cooked by dad.

She also started craving bread – cinnamon raisin bread, that is! She had two toasts today, along with some pineapple juice she made herself.

But cramps and nausea continue 🙁

I hope the medication works and she feels better tomorrow.

Searching Stores for a Journal…

Ok people, my mom is not really a blogger, she’s more of a 20th-century pen-and-paper kinda person.

So, today, she set out to find a nice paper Journal!!  She wants to use it to write down her thoughts, for me to read someday. Oh man, it was such a loooooooong afternoon and things were a bit shaky in here. Apparently we visited every store in a 15 mile radius. I’m not sure yet how long a “mile” is but it did feel like intense exercise.

We didn’t find anything that pleased mom 🙁

We’re going to look online (that’s more XXI century) tomorrow…

My First Formal Attire!

Oh, what a surprise!! Look at my first party clothes!!!

I’m told it’s a gift from aunt Silvia, uncle Alfred and cousins Flor and Niki! Such a cute gift, these people must be real nice 😕 can’t wait to meet them!! Apparently, they live in a place called “Rosario”. It sounds interesting, sort of like “real-serious”. These clothes are imported from Rosario! I’d like to get to know that place someday…

My First Photo!

Taken by a friendly nurse at St. Barnabas Medical Center, in South Orange, NJ, who wanted to charge dad $100 to enter the examination room and see “the show”! Already a big baby, 1.79 cm (0.70 inches) tall!

Why don’t these machines take pictures in color? Or do they?

Craving Cookies…

And this is one of mom’s first cravings… Vanilla wafers! 🙂

It was sooooo hard to find them. And even then, we were not sure these were the ones she liked. So she tried them. One. And the rest was for dad 🙂
